Some teams may want to use a starter (a kind of template) to ensure that the robot is always positioned exactly right when you start it.
The general rules for the RoboMission category, which also apply to WRO Starters, state in point 10.3: “A launch aid can be used to position the robot before the start. The launch aid must meet the size requirements together with the robot. It can be used inside or outside the Starter area, but must be removed before the start of the scoring run.”
As the robot can be realigned and restarted several times during a scoring run for WRO Starters, the following adapted rule applies for WRO Starters:
Starter aids may be used to position the robot correctly at the start. Like the robot itself, they must be completely within the safe zone and must be removed before the next program section is started.
