There are the following age groups in the WRO (valid 2026):

Elementary 8 to 12 years 2014 to 2018
Junior 11 to 15 years 2011 until 2015
Senior 14 to 19 years 2007 until 2012
WRO Starter – All 6 to 10 years 2016 until 2020
Future Engineers – All 14 to 22 years 2004 to 2012

Please note:

  1. The decisive factor is the year of birth, not the age on the day of the competition.
  2. No exceptions are made for people who are too old or too young for an age group! (See conditions of participation point 4.3)
