Dear coaches, dear WRO teams
WRO Switzerland is cautiously optimistic about the coronavirus pandemic and plans to hold national competitions in November. Three competitions are being prepared for the Elementary and Junior age groups, each with their own award ceremony, and a competition for the Seniors – the best team in each category will then be awarded the title of “Swiss Champion”.
We will make the final decision on the implementation on June 5.
If we decide to go ahead (and we hope so!), the new registration phase will begin on June 6. You can log in with your existing logins and transfer the old logins to a new date. The registration fee of CHF 100 per team will of course not be charged again.
We will open the registration to the public on June 18. New teams can then also take up any free places. The registration period ends on June 29.
The tasks remain unchanged for the national competitions.
The planned dates and venues are:
- Zurich: November 7 (Elementary and Junior)
- Rotkreuz / Zug: November 14 (Elementary and Junior)
- Brugg / Windisch: November 21 (Elementary and Junior)
- Burgdorf: November 21 (Senior)
Notes:
When resuming training, please observe the requirements and protection concepts of your respective school, the canton and the FOPH!
WRO Switzerland will also adhere to these guidelines and requirements. We cannot foresee what these will look like in November and must therefore reserve a certain amount of flexibility for the organization of the competitions. In any case, we will draw up a protection concept in good time, as the health of all participants and guests is important to us.
Now we wish you continued good health and your teams lots of fun and success with their robot and the WRO tasks!
