Welcome to World Robot Olympiad! We are delighted that you are here. Please read the following information carefully before you register. Thank you!

Application deadline: December 1, 2025 to March 15, 2026

Conditions of participation and data protection

We therefore ask all teams, including those who have already taken part in the WRO once or several times, to read these texts carefully!

By registering for a competition, the conditions of participation, data protection guidelines and guiding principles for the entire team (coach and team members) are recognized.

General information

Registration is done by the coach (18+ years) or a teacher. If you would like to participate as a team member, please ask your coach or teacher to register you.

Schedule

  1. You register on our registration site (your credentials from a previous season can be used again).
  2. Now you can register your team(s). You can also enter an additional contact person for each team. To get started, you only need the team name, the competition category and age group as well as the competition location. All other data (e.g. the date of birth of the team members) can be entered later. Please make sure to select the correct competition; both RoboMission and Future Innovators are offered at different locations.
Also important: The age group refers to the year of birth: How old will the team member be in the course of the calendar year 2026?
  3. Fill out the declaration of consent for each person, have it signed, scan or photograph it and upload it to the registration page!

Costs

The registration fee per team is CHF 150. This amount will be refunded after participation in a Regional Competition.

The registration fee includes the following material for the competition, which will be sent out according to availability (expected end of January 2026):

  • RoboMission: a field mat for all teams; a building block set for teams(information on the building block set) participating in the competition for the first time (existing sets from previous seasons can and should continue to be used in 2026)
  • WRO Starter: a playing field mat for all teams; a building block set for teams taking part in the competition for the first time
  • Future Engineers: one field mat for all teams

Additional play area mats or building block sets can be ordered in our store. Please note: The building block sets are only available in limited quantities. We reserve the right to limit orders for additional sets so that no team is left empty-handed.

Important Note

Do you need specific support for your participation in the WRO competitions due to a physical impairment, disability or chronic illness? Please contact Markus Born directly. We will of course treat your details confidentially and do our best to ensure that everyone can participate fairly.

We also do not want a team to have to forgo participation for financial reasons. We have a hardship fund from which we can grant support for participation in our competitions if necessary. Please also contact Markus directly in this case.
