Für beginners

  • What exacty is a robot?
  • Getting to know the Lego Spike Prime robot: hub (that’s the “brain” of the robot), motors and sensors
  • Programming basics using Scratch: loops and conditions
  • Building a simple drive robot and program its movements: straigth, curves and turns, and stop conditions
  • Follow a line

For advanced girls

  • Prerequisite: Knowledges that the beginners will gain during this camp, see above
  • Depending on participants interest and previous knowledge (and depending on number of participants): programming with Scratch or Python
  • Consolidation of previous knowledge
  • Find your destination better using a gyro sensor and an improved line follower
  • Programming like a pro using variables and MyBlocks
  • Developing strategies to solve complexe challenges, such as a WRO competition challenge

Participants can always switch between groups if things are too easy or too complicated!

Für all participants

  • Workshop: how can I construct a good robot? With robot design competition!
  • Working on a project in small groups
  • At the end, there will be a Mini WRO, with awards ceremony!

Target group Girls aged 8 to 15 years
Beginners and advanced girls The main language in the Camp will be German. Depending on the number of registrations, we will also make it possible for girls speaking French, Italian or English to attend the camp. However, there will have to be at least 3 beginners or 3 advanced girls who speak one of these language to make this possible.
Arrival
We will meet the girls are the valley station of the Sportbahnen Elm. Immediately in front there is the Postauto station; parking lots are on the other side of the road. It is not possible to drive a car directly to the accommodation. Please note: the last ride up on the gondola is at 17:00!
Costs There are no costs for girls participating in the Girls Robotics Camp.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed for girls and one adult accompanying them (up to CF 75.)
